Shayan Builders has launched Shayan Iconic X GoldLine Commercial Edition on Main Tipu Sultan Road in Karachi. The new commercial development features four large ground floor showrooms, office spaces from the 5th to the 18th floors, five dedicated parking levels and a rooftop area planned for shared business and recreational facilities.
According to the released architectural package, the four ground floor showrooms have a combined area of 11,806 square feet. The basement through the 4th floor are primarily dedicated to parking, with five parking levels providing a stated capacity of 287 cars.
The main office component begins on the 5th floor and continues through the 18th floor. A typical office floor contains 15 offices, while office sizes range from 883 to 1,899 square feet. The layout has been designed to accommodate different office requirements within the commercial tower.
The rooftop recreation level includes a prayer area, gym, café, walking track and padel court. The developer describes GoldLine as its Commercial Edition and has listed the project among its newly launched developments, offering office and showroom spaces on Main Tipu Sultan Road.
The launch adds a new commercial development to one of Karachi's established business corridors, combining office space, retail showrooms, dedicated parking and shared recreational facilities within a single project.

Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has reviewed the progress of major road, bridge and underpass projects across Karachi, directing authorities to accelerate construction, maintain quality standards and complete schemes within or ahead of their scheduled timelines.
During a detailed inspection of development works in Scheme 33, Malir Memon Goth and adjoining areas, the minister examined the pace and quality of ongoing infrastructure projects and received briefings from Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Director General Zainul Abideen Ansari and other officials.
Officials said an 11.54-kilometre road project in Malir Memon Goth, costing approximately Rs1.428 billion, is currently under construction. Work began in February 2026 and is scheduled for completion within 24 months.
The road will have a width of 7.3 metres and includes a 125-metre-long flyover. It is being developed from the Expressway through Malir River Road and is expected to strengthen connectivity between Malir Memon Goth, adjoining settlements and major highways.
In Scheme 33, the minister was briefed on four major road projects currently under construction. A 24-kilometre dual carriageway project, estimated at Rs1.987 billion, has achieved around 70% completion, with authorities working to finish the scheme ahead of its scheduled deadline.
The developing road network is also expected to improve connections between Scheme 33 and the M-9 Motorway and Super Highway. Officials said construction is also progressing on roads linking Mehran Road with Link Road, as well as Madras Road, Roomi Road and Sachal Sarmast Road.
A bridge is also being constructed at Thado Nala alongside the road project, aimed at reducing transportation difficulties and improving traffic movement in the area.
Shah also inspected the Munawar Underpass, where officials briefed him on construction progress and measures being taken to improve traffic flow. He directed the authorities to accelerate work while ensuring that construction meets the required standards.
The minister said regular on-site inspections were being conducted to directly monitor the progress and quality of development schemes. He added that construction and rehabilitation work was under way on a large number of major and smaller roads across Karachi.
According to Shah, the Sindh government has allocated funds for infrastructure development and assigned relevant institutions, including the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), responsibilities for important projects.
He said improving Karachi’s road infrastructure remains a major priority, particularly as the city faces growing population and traffic pressure. Alongside new roads, bridges and underpasses, authorities are working to strengthen connections between different parts of Karachi and major highways.
The minister also said steps were being taken to strengthen local government institutions from the union council to town level so they could play a more effective role in providing basic civic services.
On local government elections, Shah said the Election Commission of Pakistan has jurisdiction over the electoral process and expressed the Sindh government’s position that there should be no unnecessary delay in holding the polls.
He also commented on the petroleum levy, saying the public should receive relief and facilitation amid rising petrol prices. On broader political issues, he said political differences should be resolved through democratic and peaceful means rather than violence.

A government led anti encroachment operation to reclaim around 200 acres of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) land in Karachi was temporarily suspended after authorities faced strong resistance from protesters, who allegedly pelted police and government vehicles with stones.
A heavy contingent of Steel Town police, accompanied by officials from the district administration and Pakistan Steel Mills management, launched the operation to clear land allegedly occupied by encroachers.
According to police, the operation was aimed at recovering around 200 acres of valuable PSM land allegedly under the control of a land-grabbing group.
Tensions escalated when protesters resisted the operation and threw stones at police and government vehicles. A police mobile and several other official vehicles were reportedly damaged during the confrontation.
As the situation became increasingly tense, authorities temporarily halted the operation to prevent further escalation.
Police said legal action would be initiated against those involved in the violence and damage to government property.
The protesters, however, rejected the authorities’ position and described the anti-encroachment operation as illegal. They claimed that the disputed land belonged to the village and said they would not vacate the area under any circumstances.
The confrontation has left the status of the disputed land unresolved, with authorities maintaining that the land belongs to Pakistan Steel Mills and protesters disputing the government’s claim.
The incident highlights the continuing challenges faced by authorities in recovering state-owned land amid disputes over ownership and occupation. Further action is expected once the authorities reassess the situation and security arrangements in the area.
