Deputy Commissioner Kasur, Muhammad Asif Raza, conducted a detailed visit across various parts of the city to review ongoing beautification initiatives and the development of designated food courts. The visit focused on assessing civic infrastructure, public amenities, and improvements in organized urban land use.
During the inspection, progress on citywide beautification projects was examined, including upgrades to green belts, roadside landscaping, sanitation conditions, and street lighting systems. Public spaces and key urban corridors are being enhanced to improve environmental quality and overall city appearance.
Designated food court areas were also reviewed, where development work is underway to create structured zones for commercial food activity. These areas are being planned to accommodate vendors in an organized manner, aiming to improve traffic flow, hygiene standards, and regulated commercial use of urban space.
The initiative reflects efforts to manage urban growth through planned zoning of commercial activities while upgrading public infrastructure. Food courts are being integrated as part of civic planning to support economic activity within designated areas without disrupting surrounding residential and transport systems.

Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab for Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives, Ali Dar, visited the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (CBD Punjab), where he was received by CEO Imran Amin and COO Mansoor Janjua.
During the visit, Ali Dar chaired a high level meeting at CBD Quaid District and was given a comprehensive briefing on major ongoing projects, including CBD Quaid District, Bab e Pakistan, and Nawaz Sharif IT City. Officials outlined progress on infrastructure, planning, and investment opportunities tied to these flagship developments.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab is making significant strides in modern infrastructure and urban development. He noted that the projects are designed to enhance economic activity, attract foreign investment, and generate employment across the province.
He later visited key project sites to review development work firsthand, describing CBD Punjab as a “game changer” and the country’s first modern business district of its kind. He emphasized the role of smart infrastructure, sustainable planning, and public private partnerships in ensuring long term economic growth.
Ali Dar added that Nawaz Sharif IT City will play a crucial role in strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy, while the broader CBD initiatives offer a modern model of urban development. He reaffirmed that these projects will help improve Pakistan’s global image and contribute to a more sustainable and prosperous future.
