Karachi | ReNews Pakistan The Sindh government has accelerated efforts to modernise Karachi's industrial infrastructure by launching a PKR 2 billion development package for the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE), while confirming that a broader PKR 9.5 billion rehabilitation programme has been approved for major industrial zones across the city. The initiative is aimed at addressing decades-old infrastructure deficiencies, improving the business environment, and strengthening Karachi's position as Pakistan's leading industrial and export hub. Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, while laying the foundation stone of the SITE uplift project, said the rehabilitation of industrial estates was a key priority because industrial growth directly contributes to exports, employment and overall economic development. According to the project details, the package includes reconstruction of major roads and corridors, rehabilitation of drainage and sewerage networks, improvement of green belts and the upgrading of essential municipal infrastructure within the industrial estate. The SITE package forms part of a much larger citywide industrial rehabilitation programme under which approximately PKR 9.5 billion has been allocated for Karachi's principal industrial zones. Unlike previous development models, the provincial government has transferred funds directly to trade and industrial associations, enabling them to identify priority projects, appoint contractors and supervise implementation according to the specific needs of their respective industrial areas. Officials say the new mechanism is intended to reduce bureaucratic delays, improve transparency and ensure faster project execution. Earlier oversight meetings reviewing the programme confirmed allocations for several industrial estates, including SITE, Landhi Industrial Area (LITE), Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), North Karachi Industrial Area, Federal B Area Industrial Zone, Bin Qasim Industrial Park and SITE Super Highway Industrial Area. Work orders for a number of schemes have already been issued, while procurement for the remaining projects is nearing completion. Mayor Wahab said the rehabilitation programme reflects a shift in development policy by empowering industrial stakeholders to manage projects themselves rather than relying solely on conventional government procedures. He noted that industries are better positioned to identify the most urgent infrastructure requirements, allowing development work to be carried out according to actual ground realities. During the ceremony, the mayor also announced progress on Karachi's wastewater management plans, stating that the TP-1 Sewage Treatment Plant will soon become operational with an initial treatment capacity of 35 million gallons per day (MGD). An additional 65 MGD is expected to be added by December, increasing new treatment capacity to 100 MGD, a development expected to significantly improve wastewater management for industrial and commercial areas. Business leaders have welcomed the initiative, saying Karachi's industrial zones have long suffered from deteriorating roads, inadequate drainage, flooding during monsoon seasons and ageing municipal infrastructure. They believe timely completion of these projects could lower logistics costs, improve industrial productivity, encourage fresh domestic and foreign investment, and enhance Pakistan's export competitiveness.

کراچی | ری نیوز پاکستان اسٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ پاکستان نے اعمار پاکستان کے ساتھ اپنی شراکت داری کو مزید وسعت دیتے ہوئے اعمار کے رئیل اسٹیٹ بروکر نیٹ ورک کو اپنی جدید ہوم فنانسنگ سہولیات سے متعارف کرا دیا ہے۔ اس اقدام کا مقصد پاکستان میں رہائش پذیر اور بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کے لیے پریمیم رہائشی جائیدادوں کی خریداری کے لیے مارگیج فنانسنگ تک رسائی آسان بنانا ہے۔ اس اقدام کا اعلان اعمار پاکستان کی جانب سے منعقدہ بروکر نائٹ کے دوران کیا گیا، جس میں معروف رئیل اسٹیٹ بروکرز کو سٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ کی ہوم فنانس مصنوعات، مارگیج مشاورتی خدمات اور صارفین کے لیے مخصوص معاونتی نظام کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا گیا۔ اس پروگرام کا مقصد رئیل اسٹیٹ بروکرز کو ضروری معلومات اور سہولیات فراہم کرنا ہے تاکہ وہ ممکنہ خریداروں کو گھر کی خریداری اور فنانسنگ کے مختلف مراحل میں بہتر رہنمائی فراہم کر سکیں۔ یہ تعاون سٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ اور اعمار کے درمیان پہلے سے موجود طویل مدتی تعلقات کا تسلسل ہے اور دونوں اداروں کے اس مشترکہ عزم کی عکاسی کرتا ہے کہ پاکستان میں معیاری ہاؤسنگ فنانس تک رسائی کو بڑھایا جائے۔ بینکاری مہارت اور پریمیم رئیل اسٹیٹ منصوبوں کو یکجا کرتے ہوئے اس شراکت داری کا مقصد پراپرٹی خریدنے کے عمل کو آسان بنانا اور ملک میں گھروں کی ملکیت کے رجحان کو فروغ دینا ہے۔ سٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ کو حال ہی میں یورو منی کی جانب سے پاکستان کا بہترین مارگیج بینک قرار دیا گیا تھا۔ بینک حکام کے مطابق اس شراکت داری سے بروکرز کو اپنے صارفین کے لیے مناسب فنانسنگ آپشنز تلاش کرنے میں مدد ملے گی، جس سے پراپرٹی کی خریداری سے متعلق فیصلے زیادہ تیزی اور بہتر معلومات کی بنیاد پر کیے جا سکیں گے۔ سٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ پاکستان کی ہیڈ آف ویلتھ اینڈ ریٹیل بینکنگ سعدیہ ریاض نے کہا کہ رئیل اسٹیٹ بروکرز اکثر گھر خریدنے والے افراد کے لیے پہلے قابل اعتماد مشیر کا کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اعمار کے پریمیم رئیل اسٹیٹ منصوبوں کو سٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ کی مارگیج مہارت کے ساتھ جوڑنے سے صارفین کو گھر کی خریداری اور فنانسنگ کے دوران ایک آسان، شفاف اور مؤثر تجربہ فراہم کیا جا سکے گا۔ اعمار پاکستان کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر عزیز جندانی نے کہا کہ پاکستان میں ہاؤسنگ فنانس کا حجم ملکی مجموعی قومی پیداوار کے مقابلے میں انتہائی کم ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور بیرون ملک مقیم بہت سے نوجوان خاندان مارگیج کے ذریعے گھر خریدنے کی مالی صلاحیت رکھتے ہیں، تاہم انہیں مناسب مالیاتی ادارہ اور قابل اعتماد فنانسنگ پارٹنر تلاش کرنے میں مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ عزیز جندانی کے مطابق سٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ کی ہوم فنانس سہولت کے ذریعے اہل خریدار اعمار کے نئے تعمیر شدہ بلند و بالا رہائشی منصوبوں 'دی ویوز' اور 'پینوراما' میں اپنے گھروں کی خریداری کے لیے فنانسنگ حاصل کر سکیں گے۔ حکام کے مطابق اسٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ اور اعمار کے درمیان یہ تعاون دونوں اداروں کے عالمی سطح پر موجود کاروباری تعلقات کا حصہ ہے، جو مختلف بین الاقوامی منڈیوں تک پھیلا ہوا ہے۔ اس شراکت داری میں اعمار کے عالمی معیار کے رہائشی منصوبوں کو اسٹینڈرڈ چارٹرڈ کی سرحد پار بینکاری سہولیات اور فنانسنگ مہارت کے ساتھ منسلک کیا گیا ہے، جس سے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کے لیے پاکستان میں جائیداد خریدنا اور فنانسنگ حاصل کرنا نسبتاً آسان ہو سکتا ہے۔ یہ پیش رفت ایسے وقت میں سامنے آئی ہے جب پاکستان کی پراپرٹی مارکیٹ میں حالیہ ٹیکس اصلاحات اور سرمایہ کاروں کے اعتماد میں بہتری کے باعث سرگرمی میں اضافہ دیکھا جا رہا ہے۔ رئیل اسٹیٹ ماہرین کا کہنا ہے کہ مارگیج فنانسنگ کی بہتر دستیابی سے منظم ہاؤسنگ شعبے میں گھروں کی طلب مزید بڑھ سکتی ہے، جبکہ اس سے پاکستان کی رئیل اسٹیٹ صنعت کی طویل مدتی ترقی کو بھی سہارا ملنے کا امکان ہے۔
