Key appointments and transfers have been made under the Government of Punjab’s Suthra Punjab Program. In this regard, Rizwan Ashraf has been appointed as Managing Director (MD) Kasur, while Shakeeb Sarwar has been appointed as Managing Director (MD) Dera Ghazi Khan.
These appointments aim to further improve the performance of the program and strengthen sanitation management across the respective districts. Officials stated that the newly appointed officers will take charge of their responsibilities and work towards enhancing cleanliness systems in a more efficient and organized manner.

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kasur, Muhammad Asif Raza, the construction of Fashion Avenue has officially commenced on Shahbaz Khan Road under the city’s beautification plan. The project is being seen as a significant step towards enhancing urban aesthetics and improving public infrastructure.
The Fashion Avenue project aims to develop the roadside into a modern, well-structured commercial corridor. The plan includes standardized infrastructure, uniform design elements, and improved landscaping to create an attractive and organized urban environment. The initiative is expected not only to beautify the area but also to boost commercial activity.
The district administration stated that upon completion, Shahbaz Khan Road will emerge as a model commercial zone, offering improved facilities for citizens while enhancing the overall image of the city.
This project is part of the broader vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and reflects the Government of Punjab’s commitment to urban development, public service, and beautification of key city areas.

During the inspection, progress on citywide beautification projects was examined, including upgrades to green belts, roadside landscaping, sanitation conditions, and street lighting systems. Public spaces and key urban corridors are being enhanced to improve environmental quality and overall city appearance.
Designated food court areas were also reviewed, where development work is underway to create structured zones for commercial food activity. These areas are being planned to accommodate vendors in an organized manner, aiming to improve traffic flow, hygiene standards, and regulated commercial use of urban space.
The initiative reflects efforts to manage urban growth through planned zoning of commercial activities while upgrading public infrastructure. Food courts are being integrated as part of civic planning to support economic activity within designated areas without disrupting surrounding residential and transport systems.
