Significant developments have been reported in the healthcare sector of district Kasur, where Bulleh Shah Hospital Kasur is being upgraded into a modern and model healthcare facility. Under the plan, a Cardiology and Angioplasty Unit is also being established to provide advanced treatment for heart patients.
In addition, funds have been released for the reconstruction of Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Pattoki and the completion of the Pattoki Trauma Center, which is expected to significantly improve emergency medical services in the region.
The establishment of a cardiology unit in THQ Pattoki is also under consideration to ensure timely and quality treatment at the local level.
These initiatives are being carried out under the leadership of CEO Health Kasur, Dr. Sohail Tariq. MPA Mahmood Anwar Chaudhry was also present during the meeting.
Citizens have welcomed these developments, stating that these projects will greatly improve healthcare facilities in the district and reduce the need for patients to travel to larger cities for treatment.

Deputy Commissioner Kasur, Muhammad Asif Raza, along with MPA Haji Muhammad Naeem Safdar Ansari, visited the under construction Munir Shaheed Park to review the progress of ongoing development works.
During the visit, the officials inspected construction activities, development of green areas, walking tracks, and other facilities, focusing on both the pace and quality of work. The project aims to transform the park into a modern and well equipped recreational space for the public.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of the project without compromising on quality, so that citizens can benefit from improved recreational facilities.
He highlighted that the development of parks plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of urban life, and the district administration is committed to advancing such initiatives.
This project is part of the Government of Punjab’s broader vision for beautification and the promotion of public amenities, aimed at modernizing public spaces.

Following the launch of the free bus service in Tehsil Kasur, residents of other tehsils across the district have also started demanding the extension of this facility. Citizens have appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab to expand the service throughout the district so that more people can benefit.
Residents stated that the free transport service in Tehsil Kasur has made commuting easier and more affordable, particularly benefiting students, employees, and daily commuters.
People from other tehsils, including Chunian, Pattoki, and Kot Radha Kishan, have urged authorities to introduce similar services in their areas to ensure equal access to public facilities.
Citizens emphasized that in the current economic situation, such welfare initiatives provide much-needed relief and should be extended further. The growing demand highlights the increasing need for accessible and efficient public transport across all tehsils of district Kasur.
